Not-for-Profit Strategy
We believe the institution that protects the Games should exist to serve the Games.
VS1 Games Office LLC is a limited liability company and is not represented as a legally registered nonprofit or tax-exempt organisation.
Our not-for-profit strategy instead describes the operating philosophy upon which the VS1 Games Office is designed: to safeguard the VS1 Games brand, produce the Games to a consistent world-class standard and serve the network of Member Clubs, players and the long-term interests of the property rather than operate principally to maximise distributable profit at central Office level.
Our Strategy
VS1 Games separates stewardship of the Games from the economic ownership of individual Member Clubs.
The VS1 Games Office safeguards the brand, format and standards of VS1 Games and centrally produces each edition of the Games.
Member Club owners invest in individual territories, fund the staging of their editions and participate in the economic value created by building their Member Club.
This separation is intentional.
It allows the central Office to make decisions around the long-term integrity of VS1 Games while giving Member Club owners a clear economic interest in the markets they fund and help build.
The VS1 Games Office exists first to protect, produce and advance VS1 Games.
Its role is to safeguard the identity, intellectual property, format, production standards and long-term integrity of the Games across every Member Club.
The Office is therefore not designed around extracting the maximum possible profit from each individual edition.
Its central responsibility is stewardship.
As the network grows, the Office should remain capable of making decisions based on what is right for VS1 Games as a whole, its players and its Member Clubs over the long term.

VS1 Games is designed so that ownership, investment and commercial ambition can exist alongside independent stewardship.
Member Club owners should have the opportunity to build meaningful value.
Players should receive a world-class stage.
Partners should participate in a property protected by consistent standards.
And the VS1 Games Office should remain focused on the responsibility for which it exists: safeguarding and producing World Football's Premier Off-Season Meet.
